In the fast-paced world we live in, achieving balance and productivity can often seem like an insurmountable task. Here are ten habits that have been instrumental in helping me maintain a balanced and productive lifestyle. Incorporating these into your routine may be the game-changer you've been looking for.

1) Waking up at 6 am (or "before" everyone else in your environment)

When you wake up early, before all the distractions, you can focus on deep work and do all the things you usually have no time for (be creative, write, do Pilates, go to the gym, meditate).

2) No social media, email, or TV after you wake up.

Stay focused on the tasks that will move the needle in your life or business. Social media posts won't do that for you, and social media apps will lead you down the rabbit hole.

3) Eat the frog first - start your day by tackling the most difficult task.

Deal with the biggest task first - the rest will be a piece of cake, AND you will get a mindset boost when you complete the big task.

4) Cut all your meetings short - 60 to 45min (or 30 or...).

Parkinson's law states: work expands to fill the time allotted for its completion. Allot less. For example, I cut my hiring meetings from 60mins to 15mins and achieved the same results 4 times faster!

5) Could do vs Should do.

Just because you could do something doesn't mean you should. Focus on things that will move the needle! More HERE

6) $1,000 an hour rule.

Assume you're charging $1,000 per hour. It will help you decide what you should be focusing on (and you will see how much it's costing you to mindlessly scroll your IG feed...)

7) Check your finances often.

It’s part of your financial hygiene. Go through your "numbers" at least once a quarter. Make sure you cut out everything that's not necessary. Invest vs spend.

8) Read daily.

You need to feed your mind with concepts, ideas, and thoughts so that you can form your own opinions and create value for your audience.

9) Meditate daily.

Meditation is like a gym for your mind. It will make you a stronger, smarter, more thoughtful, and more efficient person.

10) Workout daily.

Move every day. Work out to ensure your body is physically and mentally healthy. There's lots of research that shows workouts have a significant, positive impact on our mental health. And building muscle, while we can, prevents us from having significant problems as we age.
